“PAWN (GIRL)”

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. All clothing is white. Each Pawn has a scaled-to-size Rosary made of pastel color beads with small red hearts. She holds a bouquet of white flowers. Age: 6 years old, approx. She is wearing her Communion Dress and is holding white flowers. She is anxious and has her head bowed as she awaits her initiation and passage into the Catholic world.

“PAWN (BOY)”

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. All pieces of clothing are white. Each Pawn has a scaled-to-size Rosary made of pastel colors with small red hearts. Age: 6 years old, approx. The Pawn is wearing his Communion Suit. He anxiously holds himself in tight control as he awaits his initiation and acceptance into the Catholic world.

“KNIGHT (GIRL)”

Size: 6”h x 3.5”w x 2.5”d

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. All clothing is white.

She has a scaled-to-size Rosary with small red hearts. She holds a bouquet of flowers that are not all white. Age: 8 years old, approx. Her Communion dress is rumpled and ripped because she has been fondled by a Priest. The ribbon in her hair is undone. Her sash bow is askew. She holds up her dress while cradling her flowers that now have changed color. She screams even while she holds her mouth open.

“KNIGHT (BOY)”

Size: 5.75”h x 1.5”w x 1.25”d

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. All pieces of clothing are white. Each Rook/Knight has a scaled-to-size Rosary with small red hearts. Age: 8 years old, approx. This child has been molested and his clothes are disheveled. His jacket is missing. He is attempting to hold up his trousers but is unable to cover his penis or his buttocks because he can not say no to Priestly authority. His mouth is open wide.

“Castle (gIRL)”

Size: 6.75”h x 3”w x 2”d

Cast in Bronze, medium patina on all skin and hair areas. All pieces of clothing are white.

The Castle has a scaled-to-size Rosary with small red hearts. She wears a stone castle crown that has colored, not white flowers in it. Age: 11 years old, approx. Her blouse is torn open and her young breast shows. Her anger and frustration is shown as she tries to hold her dress down. She is crying.

“Castle (BOY)”

Size: 6.5”h x 2.25”W x 2”d

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. All pieces of clothing are white. He wears a crown of painted castle stones. He has a scaled-to-size Rosary with small red hearts. Age: 11 years old approx. He tries to protect his sexual organs. He is naked as he stands with his pants down and his innocence stolen. Shame is within this boy.

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. Her small bikini/thong is white. She has colored flowers in her hair. Age: 13 years old, approx. She offers her teenage body in a mockery of adult sexuality. Her childhood innocence has been taken from her by sexual molestation. Her hair is piled up on her head, filled with bright flowers. Her right hand echoes the shape of a Bishop’s hat while her left hand offers her heart.

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. His white clothing is loose at his feet. He holds his hands up to catch the cut loose knotted hanging rope. Age: 13 years old approx. The teenager has been cut down and reprieved in this attempt of taking his life. Suicide is an option of escape from the shame of sexual molestation.

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. She has no clothing on. She has no Rosary. She holds a Female Mask that has only red flowers in it. Age: 16 years old, approx. The Queen stands naked in the shadow of her Mask of Potential. She does not possess a positive image of who she is or who she could have been. The Queen has had her childhood faith in the Church, the Priesthood and innocent trust damaged.

Cast in Bronze, polished on all skin and hair areas. The Boy King stands naked. He is holding a mask that represents his adult male persona. Age: 16 years old approx. This young man stands naked in the shadow of his Mask of Potential. Anger has erupted as a result of the young King’s frustrations, shame, resentment and especially his rape by a leader of his Church.
