“COLORS … OF woman“

NEW M.C.CAROLYN PAINTING TECHNIQUE:
ACRYLIC PAINTS, INKS ON BRISTOL BOARD AND ALCOHOL INKS ON ACETATE FILM

Woman comes in combinations of colors: red, black, yellow, white and brown. The fingers on her hands show us that. A beautiful halo gleams from her thoughts and intelligence.Fruition of her body comes forth in our world.

This MCC painting is created with solid body acrylic colors. The background of acrylic paints has a multi-colored oil pastel network of busy lines. Her halo is created with alcohol inks painted on paper layered onto the acrylic painting. The transparent alcohol ink colors that emerge from her womb are layers of alcohol-painted acetate film applied to the solid painted area.

Colors flow from so many different sources to combine into “Woman.” As a viewer stands looking at “Her,” different surface treatments become enticing. “She” is reaching out to us.
